This model is simulated for 4 QAM modulation and the effects of noise on fading and scattering property of the channel were simulated. Using Matlab with Simulink the impulse response, Frequency Response, Multipath Gain ,and Doppler Spectrum are measured for both Rayleigh and Rician fading.

This paper presents a comparative study of some performance parameters or performance metrics of a digital communication system with the aid of a Simulink model between Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) and Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (OQPSK) modulations in simple steps in terms of description of inputs and outputs in simulations, complex signal representations ,computations of bit error rate (BER) simulated and theoretical results for (QPSK) , (OQPSK) and Comparison of the symbol error rate performance using MATLAB program .

The information revolution and the introduction of the Internet made many organizations think about utilizing these benefits for their own use, which ultimately lead to the introduction of the Intranet in the middle of the 1990s, which uses web technology within the boundaries of an organization, This paper is concerned with finding the best method to connect the various faculties and other services in Tripoli University in order to implement an intranet using a unified switched Local Area network, based on the assumption that there exists an infrastructure of underground conduits suitable for laying fiber optical cables. The paper assumed the use of single mode fiber cables to connect the various buildings in the core network. In this paper the graph theory criteria, namely, the hop count, the average path length and the number of geodesics were used as bases to select the most suitable topology. But the result of the graph theory method was not decisive in selecting a topology from the three compared topologies (Star, Ring and Partial Mesh). Hence a management tool known as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was employed to reach a decisive decision. The Partial Mesh topology was the selected topology according to the AHP result. The intranet provided many benefits for the many organizations that implemented this technology such as information publishing, document management, training, etc. One of the basic reasons of using intranet is saving the various costs associated with many activities that incurred high costs such as information printing, distribution and storage. Initially installing intranet technology, as the case with anything else, needs cost and in many cases, this cost can be high especially if there is no network in place. This paper examines all the possible costs associated with implementing intranet technology based on the assumption that there is no network in place. Hence, all associated costs will be considered such as hardware, software, network etc. Then the paper looks at cost -benefit assessment as a result of utilizing intranet technology, which takes into account all possible costs incurred and benefits gained. A full calculation is done taking Tripoli university as a study case based on a number of assumptions , where the return on investment is calculated as result of the cost -benefit assessment to see if implementing intranet technology is worthwhile or not.
