The solar chimney is a passive climate conditioning, having the ability to generate air movement ... more The solar chimney is a passive climate conditioning, having the ability to generate air movement into the building through the uptake of solar radiation that amplifies airflow increasing the comfort zone of habitability conditions for being human situations elevated temperature and humidity. Although this device has a broadcast extensively in literature related to energy efficiency and environment, their actual implementation in the architecture is very limited. So this research presents an analysis of the solar chimney and its contributions to thermal comfort inside the space, depending on a single variable: the air velocity. That is, analyze the efficiency of the device relative to the combination of variables of its components, and this assessment is developed through the implementation of a model in an energy calculation software, watching the results in modules and modules CFD analysis. This assessment is what allows us to define design parameters to translate the complexity of the device at an object of direct insertion into everyday architecture.
