For this purpose, the author shall present the definitions of infrastructure and its classification, as well as certain ways of using the infrastructural resources to satisfy the needs of its community and improve the living conditions of the population. The infrastructure has a huge impact on local and regional development. Futhermore, it can be stated that local development determines the development of infrastructure. It is the intention of county council to increase economic and social activity of the local community as well as improving their quality of life. There are also presented the areas of logistics management in the city management. This article is part of a research project “Referential model of city logistics versus quality of life of citizens” funded by funds for science in the years 2010-2013 as a research project.

The cooperation, collaboration and competition between engineers and managers should stimulate invention and innovation. To stimulate invention and innovation, we have to pay careful attention to education. New knowledge may be gleaned from practical experience or generated through systematic research and development, and is reflected in gradual modifications and improvements, or in more extensive and radical innovations.

As a result, the structure of the total costs is changing. Progressive automation has resulted in an increase in the share of indirect costs. In this situation the most frequently applied calculations are no longer precise. Consequently, there is now a need to use methods which can estimate the costs of planned production order manufacturing more precisely.
