Much like the green goop in the old Goosebumps book, this bastard keeps expanding like it's going to take over the whole damn fandom world.

So, What Happens Next? Final Fantasy XIII, [1/2]

 

8019 / 10000 words. 80% done!

Annoyingly, it looks as if So, What Happens Next? is spiralling out of control in terms of length. It's sitting at 8,000 words and I still have another five issues to cover before I call it a chapter. >_> Once again, psychological issues and mindfuck takes priority over all my previous goals for the fic. God. Point is, I'm not necessarily unhappy with the way the fic has gone, but it's still kind of annoying that my 20,000 word parameters might not cover it all in terms of how chapter one is being paced.

I don't know. Given the sensitivity of the idea I'm working with here, I can't just rush this issue. The resolution would be choppy and unsatisfying, and I really don't want that. I just... can't let myself not explore the issue the way it needs to be.
