I finally gave into my own absurd impulses and opened an Arkhamverse fan community for LJ. God. As if I didn't have enough to do already.

Anyhow, it's going to be news based, with reviews of the ongoing comic series, Arkham accessories, meta/discussion (such as the existence of Jason Todd in the Arkhamverse) as well as lighter topics, such as the Aaron Cash Facts.

Buuut I guess we'll see. arkhamverse is still a work in progress at this point.

At first I was excited when they said the Robin on Arkham City would be Tim Drake. With a Red Robin skin and everything!

But the more I hear about this AC!Robin, the more I'm convinced it's not Tim. Frankly I feel this Robin would have been better off as Jason, or hell, a whole new Robin. I feel like in the process of trying to make Robin edgy to the haters, they've taken away what made Tim such a great character.

This... Is probably the only thing I'm disappointed about in Arkham City. It's not a lot, but I can't reconcile this dissonance yet.

I'll give it a chance, though.

As some may recall, Liv and I are constructing a Jason Todd/Red Hood cosplay. Everything except the latex domino mask and the helmet is constructed. The toughest bits, to be sure.

If you look back through the cosplay tag, you can see my first take on the helmet, using shaped cardboard and paper mâché. It was a little too bulky, in order to keep it as one piece but still be able to remove it with ease.

It was okay as a first draft.

Second one had Liv make a mold using paperclay and duct tape. This one is alright, but there's a few flaws in the eye areas, and in the top areas. We split the mask in two so we could remove it easier and shape it better, but the top warped during the drying of the second paperclay layer. So we have to fix that, haha.

Also, need to get a small sander. Yay!

Ahem, I was going somewhere with this. Or was I? Maybe I'm just trying to make up for my emo post below.
