Brandon Satrom is Vice President of Developer Experience & Engineering at Blues. An unabashed lover of the IoT, the web, mobile and an avid tinkerer, Brandon loves to talk about sensors and circuits, microcontrollers, open source, robots and whatever new shiny tool or technology has distracted him from that other thing he was working on. Brandon has spoken at national, international and online events, and is the author of five books.

Carles has been a firmware developer at several hardware, semiconductor and software companies for over 20 years, with a focus on microcontrollers. For the last 10 years he has worked at Nordic Semiconductor, where he was part of the team that brought to market Nordic’s first ever Bluetooth Low Energy chip, and has remained a member of the software development team since. During this time at Nordic he has also co-authored a book on Bluetooth LE and contributed to different areas of the software development effort, driving an internal push to contribute an existing proprietary Bluetooth LE Controller implementation as an open source component to the Zephyr project. With the controller now part of the Zephyr codebase, he widened his focus beyond Bluetooth Low Energy, helping ensure that Zephyr becomes the best possible open source all-purpose RTOS available.

David Brown is a member of the Linaro Vertical Technologies Group, and has worked on the Linux kernel, with a focus on security for a number of years. Recently, he has been focusing on security as it relates to IoT and embedded devices, including focusing on secure booting, and secure network communications. He is currently the Security Chair for the Zephyr Project, and a maintainer for the MCUboot secure bootloader.

I am a dedicated software developer with a passion for working on cutting-edge products. My present fascination is in Zephyr Project, which I actively engage with both professionally and in my free time. I am highly motivated by the challenge of designing modular components that work together seamlessly.

Josuah Demangeon is a camera firmware engineer at tinyVision.ai.  Josuah is responsible for building an open ecosystem for imaging on microcontrollers and integrating image sensor on FPGAs, MCUs, MPUs, DSPs, and more.

Keith Short has worked in embedded systems for 20+ years.  Keith currently works at Google on ChromeOS and is the technical lead to switch the embedded controller implementation over to Zephyr.

Luis Ubieda works as a Lead Firmware Engineer at Croxel Inc.

Martin Jäger is Founder and Lead Developer at Libre Solar.

Nelson is a highly accomplished Principal Embedded Software Engineer with 30 years of experience at Whirlpool Corporation. Specializing in microcontrollers, Nelson has a distinguished track record of developing innovative software solutions for a wide variety of kitchen and laundry appliances. A lifelong learner, Nelson is passionate about staying abreast of the latest technologies and tools to further enhance his expertise.

Rob Woolley is a Principal Technologist at Wind River in the CTO Office. He tracks emerging technologies to adapt and integrate into Wind River’s platforms and operating systems. This includes using cloud-native technologies to orchestrate workloads on edge devices. As well as how to embrace DevSecOps methodologies to build real-time and AI applications for embedded devices.

Roman has been an embedded software developer in various industries such as spinning machinery, fleet management, railway and sensors for over 20 years. He currently leads the embedded software team at Baumer’s Switzerland site and coordinates the companies activities around Zephyr OS.

Roy Jamil is a Training Engineer at Ac6, holding a PhD in Asymmetric Multiprocessing (AMP) and real-time embedded systems. He has trained hundreds of engineers annually. His experience includes programming, Linux, Yocto, and Real-Time Operating Systems. Additionally, Roy authored a comprehensive Zephyr training course, which has garnered the attention and participation of hundreds of engineers.

Ruud Derwig has 25+ years of experience with system architectures for embedded systems. Key areas of expertise are hardware and software IPs for security, (real-time) operating systems and other low-level platform software. He holds a master’s degree in computing science and a professional doctorate in engineering. Ruud worked at Philips Research and NXP Semiconductors and is currently Security & Systems Architect in Synopsys’ Solutions Group.

Ruud has been participating in and contributing to various Open Source and industry consortia, such as the CE Linux Forum, Linux Foundation, EEMBC, and various European innovation projects. He has been active in the Zephyr project since its start as the maintainer for the ARC architecture and is a member of the TSC, Security committee, and Security working group.

Ryan is an Embedded Software Engineer at Meta, with a focus on AR/VR Research within the Reality Labs Research Division. With over 10 years of Firmware/Embedded Software Experience and just over 5 at Meta, Ryan has lead firmware development on many AR/VR Research prototypes. during his time at Meta.
