I am completely aware that the previous ficlet isn't my usual fare, especially as it's got fluff and Zachariah in the same page, but...hee.

This is where I remind myself that I am allowed to put whatever I want to on this LJ, and if you guys don't like it, tough. :P

The above aside, I have a few things to report: cyborgfic is in progress, I will resume work on it tomorrow. I needed a break today and welp. That's how my writing goes at times.

I owe a few drabbles to friends, so expect those to be written over the next week as well. Nothing too strenuous for me, though. I'm taking my birthday month easy.

Video game stuff: I am in full-blown love for my Nintendo DS. I've got SMT: Strange Journey, The World Ends With You, Chrono Trigger, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Professor Layton & The Curious Village ongoing right now.

It's like me + a lot of books. I grab 4-5 titles and start reading and nope. I don't get confused or mixed up or anything, I just keep going until they're done.

In any case, if you guys have NDS games to rec or whatever, let me know! I am happy to dive into the world of fun games. 8D

HOMG I cannot convey my love for SMT:SJ enough, if only because of Jack. Best character, I do not care if/when he turns evil later, he is written almost exactly like A Bit of Fry and Laurie's Jack and sjgnsldg did the writers steal Stephen Fry's brain and make him write Jack's lines? It's like finding fic for the show after a year of no new fic and \o/. If anyone wants scripts, welp, I am an obsessive fan and typed up his sections/the ones I've seen so far, and I'd be happy to post later.

First off, I had a great time with Mom and a friend in the city at an art show today. It was fun - good art! - and afterwards we stopped by the Barnes & Nobles and I obtained a book on the Myths & Legends of Japan. :D The whole trip was fun, and I got to spend time talking to yet another friend, so that was good.

Second, in the mail my Raiho plushie arrived, and omg it is so cute. It's the perfect union of geekery and omgsocute-ery! :D He's not a big plushie but he has a cape and eee, I'm v.v. pleased.

Third, I'm going to try some art stuffs as the art show inspired me, and I do have paper and pen (and paints and canvas) so we'll see how that goes. (If anything good happens I'll see about a scanner.)

And yeah. Not much else to report - unless me getting a Yomi-kugutsu (saber type) in my Raidou game is relevant to anyone. (Minor break from Nocturne today as Raidou was calling to me. :D)

One last plot bunny for everyone: Supernatural/Good Omens, Aziraphale +/ Crowley +/ Jimmy <-- how would that even work?

Sometimes I don't get lucky, and sometimes I do, and holy cow my local gaming store had Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon, one of the spin-offs from the main SMT series! \o/

I'm going through a gaming spree with a Shin Megami Tensei obsession-fest, so finding this (+ manual and original case!) is just golden. And while I don't have the first yet, well, I'll fix that as soon as I can. And in the meantime it looks like I can enjoy the game w/out knowledge of the first game too much, and the gameplay is already fun to jump into.

I know I don't usually post about my gamer tendencies, but they exist and I will go on at length about these subjects. X3 (Seriously, don't ever say 'what's a jrpg' or a variant of that to me because I will tell you and then some.)

No, brain, you may not try to fuse SMT1 and SPN into one big thing because no, Sam and Dean would make terrible demon summoners. Even if Sam likes a laptop/COMP.

I figured out the plot! And if any more ideas attack me I'll add them into this thing!

Me: I'm thinking I'll attempt to combine what I can of the ideas into one plot.

Friend on IM: "what I can" doesn't sound like fun. :P attempt to combine ALL of them! you might have one hell of a surrealist story, but at least you'll have something no one has written before! ;)

Me: Sooooo. The angel Raziel is writing a history of himself when a monster attacks his shop so he hires two lady mercenaries to kill it. They go on a quest (with letter writing back to him!) and along the way get abducted by aliens (rogue stars!) that my AU!Dean n Cas hunt down and return them to earth but they land on the wrong continent and on the way back share a ship/airplane seat/passengers on something and the other passenger shares his story, and he's secretly Gabriel searching the waters for some vision about Jibril when they return back he decides to help them in exchange for [some favor they did] and the monster, btw, is a HR Giger inspired thing

And this is how they discover that he's the Gabriel because he's useless against it (so was Raz, that was why he couldn't just get rid of it) and when they finally kill it Gabriel meets Raziel and we get tensionnnn over some things and and and

A Recipe for Making Everything Better

2 Angels (Arch or otherwise)
1 Witch's Spell
A sense of humor
Holy Oil & Match (Optional, in case the angels aren't cooperating)
Kitty Treats (Optional, but it helps win them over)

Instructions:

1) Coerce Witch into providing Spell. I suggest using the formula made available below. Also suggest that it would be hilarious to see. Request a clause that prevents the Angels from using their powers on you in retaliation during the Spell's duration. Also specify that the spell must be temporary, and must wear off in several days.

2) Find Angels. This may be difficult depending on your circumstances. I personally recommend finding the Hunters known as the Winchesters, as they often have angels following them, or attacking them, or irritating them, or any variant on the above.

3) Apply Witch's Spell to Angels. This is the step to use the Holy Oil & Match if they are protesting the use of this spell. Create a ring on the floor with the oil, trick the angels into it, and light it on fire. They will now hold still long enough for the spell to work. (Use fire extinguishers to remove the fire when the spell has settled.)

4) If the Spell obtained worked properly, you will have two cats that resemble the angels they once were, and will be again.

5) Offer the kitty treats, and be careful so you aren't clawed. Also move the kitties to a safe and comfortable environment.

6) Observe. Possibly indulge in petting. Definitely take photographs.

7) Prepare to flee for your life when the spell's time limit approaches.

Notes: If the spell turned them into, say, turtles, I suggest finding another witch and making sure they understand this equation: When angels = cats, they are adorable.

Sunbeams are handy to have for the angelcats.

As are Winchesters, in case you chose to use their angels. Be careful, as the Winchesters are dangerous.

It's Christmas Eve and I love it. A day of rest, the BBC airing the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols (from King's College at Cambridge) and my cats decided to be utterly nice and cute today.

The present pile is substantial, the tree is gorgeous, and I am at ease.

I checked the mail at 11AM, 1PM, and now 3:48PM. Third time is the charm, and it's here! I haven't opened the package yet but it's from amazon and it's shaped right~

EDIT: First package: Exactly what I wanted! New game! Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and it's all new, straight from amazon! Second package: I thought it was my Dad's package, but it was actually the fourth game I ordered that I was expecting next week!

So! My complete order from Amazon is here! I ordered four PS2 games (FFXII, Katamari Damancy, Disgaea, and .hack//infection) plus one book (An Exchange of Hostages) and everything is great! I haven't tested Disgaea or .hack yet, but I'm sure they will and then I'll have four working games to play! :D

Yee dee dee!

There's no telling how long this obsession will last, especially as it's a game and a long one at that. But! I've got a favorite character, a pairing, and I make squeep sounds when awesome things happen in the game.

In other words: Final Fantasy XII got me. It got me good. *huggles Balthier* Balthier/Vaan especially. (Balthier/Anyone is cool, though!)

It's good to feel like this, especially with RL throwing me curveballs and the mail still being late, especially with my other amazon orders. *pokespokes*

Aaand I'm off to look for more fanart. Fic has to wait until I'm in the game more, so I can avoid spoilers. (I'm on the Leviathan, for those who know where and what that is.)
