Have things really changed for gay actors and actresses? (Hat tip to rm)

A NYC taxi driver returned a black bag carrying 31 diamond rings to a passenger who earlier had given him a 30-cent tip on an $11 ride.

Gay Sheep Fearmongering from PETA turns out to be wrong. I still prefer this Greenpeace story.

Well, it sounds like a solid story until one reads the punch line. An Army officer who investigated possible abuse at Guantanamo Bay after some guards purportedly bragged about beating detainees found no evidence they mistreated the prisoners — although he did not interview any of the alleged victims.

“And the sooner she stops wearing fur, the sooner the animals will be safe. Until then, keep your doggie or kitty friends away from mommy - she’s an animal killer.’’

That’s part of a statement given to the Boston Herald by extremist PETA representative Ingrid Newkirk. Just when you thought they couldn’t get more vile, PETA does it again. Hot on the heels of the Holocaust on your plate exhibit is this: They plan to hand out “Your Mommy Kills Animals” fliers to kids.

Why are innocent children being targeted by a campaign that includes a graphic of a housewife shredding a bunny with a giant knife? The fliers are especially designed to give children nightmares, virtually guaranteeing that another traumatized generation is going to be lining the pockets of psychotherapists in the years to come.

Can’t we target PETA with the War on Terror? Please? I bet Dubya would go for it: he’s from Texas, the huntin’ & killin’ state.
