This is mostly a collection of odd links and stuff I've found on the net, although I may throw in a personal rant now and then. In general, I don't do memes and quizzes. My personal posts are nearly always friends-only.

If you've suddenly found me on your friends list, I was probably passing by and found you interesting. Feel free to comment, reciprocate or not.

MiniFAQ:
* The original reason I started this LJ was to replace my bookmarks folders, which were getting way outta hand. At least half of the links here are being saved so I can look at 'em when I have time. (I figure that will be sometime in 30 years, after I retire.) ;-)
* There is a del.icio.us account for this LJ. Del.icio.us is a service that keeps your bookmarks in one place online, and allows them to be categorized by tags and groups.

* Here's a good example of a personal rant.
* I'm always somewhat behind on responding to comments and emails. It's not personal. I'm just busy!

I am currently working on a Master List of Career and Job Search Websites. See any I've missed? Please let me know in the comments (or shoot me an email).

Eventually, I'd like it to resemble this big list of volunteer and activist organizations.

Other examples of similar posts: Hurricane Katrina, The July 7, 2005 bombings in London and The Southeast Asian Tsunami.

This post lists a few incredibly talented livejournalers who have books coming out soon.

April's Scientific American editorial and Charles Pierce's November Esquire article.
