The first Australian Young Statisticians Conference unfolded in 2005 in Newcastle, and have been held biennially since then in Canberra (2007), Sydney (2009), Brisbane (2011) and Melbourne (2013).
The Young Statisticians Conferences provide a forum for networking and collaboration between students and early-career statisticians. All members of the statistical community are welcome, but the program is aimed at students and statisticians building a career in research or industry.
