Hello my lovely friends/members. :)
I have just created an icon-remake challenge. I'm hoping it'll go journal-to-journal and become
something that we icon makers and graphics makers do for fun and for reflection.
35 Icons - Icon Remake Challenge
THE RULES
Remake 35 of your old icons.
They must be icons that you have made in the past.
They must be icons that are at least 6 months old.
Your goal is to remake them; this means that they need to look different
and/or better than the original image.
Post them with your standard disclaimers and etc.
No animated icons please.
When posting, you can post as many or as few of your 35 as you want, but make sure you
make every effort to finish the entire challenge (35 icons) at least once.
By remake we mean, use different coloring, text, crops, and etc. and the icon should look better, in some way, than the original. This is all about improving older icons and then reflecting on same.
When you post, also include some information about the original icon - when was it made? what fandom is it?
Also include anything you learned during your remake either about your icons or your process.
You can attempt this challenge as many times as you like, just please link back to this post.

hi!
here's a post just to show you where I've been and where I'm going.
the first set of icons is just this (almost over) month of may (2013) - the past two weeks, respectively.
the second set of icons is over the past year, not including the past two weeks (2012-2013).
