Tonshi no kanmushi

頓死の肝虫
とんしのかんむし

Translation: sudden death liver worm
Habitat: the liver

Appearance: Tonshi no kanmushi have yellow bodies covered in black speckles. They have red mouths, and red tongues. The tops of their heads are black. Their tails are tipped with a white string-like appendage.

Behavior: Tonshi no kanmushi infect the liver.

Interactions: When a tonshi no kanmushi bites down on the liver, its host will immediately die.

Mokkō (Saussurea costus) is an effective cure for this infection.
