The weekend will begin with unsettled and more autumnal weather across Finland, according to Yle meteorologist Henriikka Heikinoja.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in many parts of the country from Friday afternoon onwards. Lapland will see the wettest conditions, with more continuous rain, while western Finland will remain drier.
Temperatures will reach 15–20 degrees in southern and central Finland. In Lapland, a cool northeasterly airflow will keep temperatures around 10 degrees.
The weather will become drier and somewhat clearer towards the evening, although rain will continue in the north.
Temperatures will fall over the weekend, with much of Finland staying below 10 degrees on Sunday.
