Approximately 46,900 people moved to Finland from abroad during the first 11 months of this year, according to Statistics Finland.

Citing preliminary figures, the agency said this year's number reflects a year-on-year decrease of 13,000 people

At the end of November, Finland's population stood at 5,656,394 — an increase of around 20,400 compared to 2024. The agency attributed the growth to immigration.

Some 14,000 people emigrated from Finland, around 1,700 fewer than last year.

Meanwhile, there were slightly more than 42,200 births so far in 2025, but nearly 11,600 more deaths than births, according to the statistics agency.
