The willingness of people in Finland to defend the country from attack remains at a high level, according to a new report by the Advisory Board for Defence Information.
The survey found that 78 percent of respondents want Finland to defend itself with armed forces in the event of an invasion or attack.
Finns' willingness to defend the nation hit an all-time high in 2022, in the aftermath of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and it has remained at an elevated level ever since.
The latest poll also found that four out of five said they would be willing to participate in national defence operations in the event of an attack, based on their own abilities and skills.
In addition, support for Finland's membership of Nato remains high, with 84 percent of respondents expressing a positive opinion. This represents a slight increase on the proportion registered by a similar survey carried out last year.
The poll was conducted by Taloustutkimus on behalf of the Advisory Board, with over 1,000 people contributing via interviews and an online panel.
