More than one million people have so far voted in advance in the Finnish presidential election, as of 11am on Sunday, according to figures provided by the Ministry of Justice.
By Sunday morning more than 1,010,584 people living in Finland had cast advance ballots. Voter turnout had risen from roughly 20 percent on Saturday morning to 23.6 percent on Sunday morning.

Advance voting is open in Finland until next Tuesday, while advance voting abroad closed on Saturday.
Election day for the first round of voting is next Sunday, 28 January.
If there is a second round of voting, Election Day will be 11 February with advance voting open between 31 January to 6 February in Finland. Advance voting abroad for the second round will be possible from 31 January to 3 February.
