Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva and Foreign Trade and Development Minister Paavo Väryrynen are taking part in an EU meeting of Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg.
Ministers are preparing for an upcoming summit between the EU and the United States. The discussions will take place in Washington next week focusing on strengthening economic cooperation as well as climate and energy policies.
Preparations will also be made for the upcoming summit meeting between the EU and Russia concentrating on energy, trade and human rights issues. The Union is particularly keen to secure future energy deliveries from Russia.
