Three masked men robbed the Kellokeskus Timanttiset jewelry shop in the town of Lahti on Monday morning. One of the thieves carried a gun. Witnesses say a shot was fired, but no one was injured.
The men broke into the store’s glass showcases with an axe and grabbed various valuable items. Authorities say that one of the men spoke a language other than Finnish.
No customers were in the shop at the time of the theft.
Police say the thieves made off in a stolen, grey Audi 100 with the licence plate number RLY-483. Officers say anyone with information should call the number 071 873 7495.
