The 29-year-old is in custody for forgery, fraud, and practicing medicine without a license.
Now, it appears he also tried his hand as a fake vet as well. The paper reports that by the autumn of 2008, complaints about him had been made to the county veterinarian.
"I don't approve of this at all," says the chair of the Finnish Veterinary Association, Sanna Hellström. "Animals are protected by patient rights the same as humans."
Police say the 29-year-old used forged documents to show he was in his last year of medical school, when in fact he had not taken all the required courses. He worked for a health clinic in the west-coast town for around five years.
