A walkout by Finnair cabin crew is set to begin on Sunday 20 November at 3pm and will end at the same time on Monday 21 November.
The Finnish cabin crew association (SLSY) said the strike was in response to Finnair's personnel policies.
Finnair on Saturday tweeted it would contact affected passengers.
Earlier this week the national airline announced plans to subcontract inflight service staff on its Thailand and US routes in a cost-saving effort—a move that could result in the company shedding 450 cabin crew jobs. If implemented, the subcontracting effort could be realised by the end of 2023, Finnair said on Wednesday.
Finnair has said it incurred considerable losses during the pandemic and that the closure of Russian airspace significantly impacted its ability to generate profit.
