I am not sure if this community is still active, or if X-Men Movieverse fandom is active anymore, but I have been on a writing jag lately and wanted to share.

Author’s notes I realised only after I wrote the first scene that this doesn’t actually comply with canon, but I had too much fun writing Scott’s POV to change it. Also, sorry about how 1960s-stupid several of the characters are in this chapter.

Was it really cowardly, wanting to keep people safe?
