looked a bit into proton and i am DISAPPOINTED
you can't say "all apps are open source" when your repo doesn't get updates in MONTHS or some app simply never got open sourced
Also don't be scared by difficult topics. If you want to make something, just go for it

A SNES emulator in c++ & a gameboy game in assembly (in a weekend) in my 1st year of college
It's gonna be crappy but fun
You'll learn a lot
I know a lot of people say "just do stuff" but like.. they're right
The response is often "do what"
The answer is anything you want just put your mind to it
"Man I wish this thing was done in js" ok do it
"This would be so good with a gui" ok build it
