The wcc is important to the team, their brand, and sponsors. It gives them more money, notoriety, and history. Most f1 drivers would be more than happy at an opportunity to be in a wcc winning car.

And still have a 1-2-3 with almost 2 minutes over 5th place

i feel like WAY too many people are forgetting that this is oscar's 3rd season in f1. even if he doesn't win the championship 💔 realistically he isn't gonna finish below 3rd, and that's impressive in and of itself. this isn't me saying that i don't think he's gonna win but yk ☺️
