Isn't it insane that I can find #COVID19 testing kits and N95 masks faster than the CDC? Just got the first shipment of CFDA-approved testing kits, used in China, Australia and Singapore. It's an antibody blood test that shows results in 15 mins.

A startup has been closing multiple top talents so I reached out. First the founder proposed meeting the next day, which is a Sat. When I asked if he can do Monday 10:30 instead, he replied, “am or pm?”. Now I’m resisting all the urge to reply “pls send wiring instructions”.

Every VC looks for strong founders, but what makes a strong founder? With limited time to interact with founders before making decisions, investors often over-index on signals like age, school, technical credentials etc. Unfortunately, this heuristic is often biased 👇/storm

Raising money from VCs & LPs is really like taking a loan with super high interest rates, using your personal reputation/credibility as a collateral. It’s not written in the contracts but as the size of your rounds/funds goes up, so does the size of the collateral.

Honestly, being able to block the president (while still allowing nuclear code access) is probably among the most democratic move a country can make. People who compare this with autocratic countries have never lived in one & have no idea what autocracy actually means.

A guy just stopped in front of me (I was walking on Mission st) "Want a husband? I work, I shave, I'm a good husband". Didn’t know shaving is the new standard, no wonder all these shaving companies exited for billions.
