FINAL UPDATE: SR 20/North Cascades Hwy is fully opened!!! We finished repairs early and reopened the scenic seasonal highway Sunday, June 14. Make sure to watch out for wildlife not used to traffic in the area. Read more about the repair efforts: bit.ly/SR20RepairsBlog

UPDATE JUNE 12: Paving work is done! Since then, we've worked to install rock on the shoulders, erosion control, guardrail, barrier and pavement markings. SR 20 remains closed from Ross Lake Trailhead to Porcupine Creek (MP 140-156) until Fri (6/19) while we finish up work.

SR 531 STRIPING OPERATION Happening now on SR 531/Lakewood Road: Striping crews are working on both directions between Rose Rd (MP 0) to 3rd Ave NW (MP 5) west of Arlington. Work is scheduled until 11:30 am today (6/18). Give our crews space and plan for delays.

BEGINNING TONIGHT NB I-5 shifts to a temporary 2-lane bypass road to install a fish passage structure south of Bellingham (MP 247). Speed limit will reduce to 50 mph through work zone until Sept. Expect NB I-5 lane reductions & rolling slowdowns 8p Mon (6/15) to 5a Tues (6/13).
