Every one of these dots is an actual crash from the fleet. Real world speeds, collisions, and people. Not just the regulatory test cases. The richness of this data is what enabled the result. With simulation we can replay the crashes and measure the forces on the human body

All the armchair experts claimed the Cybertruck has no crumple zone and I get it, the proportions seem impossible. It was a tough one and there is a lot of engineering that went into it. Let me break it down for you: Here you can see the large single piece casting in action in a

This is back in stock - we are trying to keep up with demand. I've seen a few folks getting good use of theirs already! Also will be added to the configurator soon so you can put underbody armor on your vehicle straight from the factory.

Shout out to the engineering team for the work that went into making steer-by-wire "feel as natural as riding a bicycle." This MT article has some good technical tidbits embedded - I added a chart below that helps illustrate the variability "The steering ratio adjusts over a

Love to see Ford mentioning "The best part is no part" and "Question the requirements" it's clear to see some lessons learned from Doug and Alan's time at Tesla. Adopting large castings, using the battery pack as the floor, heat pump (mentioned less hoses), 48v + ethernet

The Model T didn't change the world on its own. The assembly line made them accessible to everyone. 122 years later, @Ford isn't just making another vehicle. We're reinventing how vehicles are assembled. Learn more here: fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/articles…

Watching Model Y flow out of GFTX all on their own is still awe inspiring to me. I get off the shuttle and stand there watching. Taking in the fact that trailers full of base materials unload (you can see them in the background) and then completed vehicles drive themselves out

Zack's test demonstrated ~10x factory of safety on rated tongue weight! This should inspire confidence to use the vehicle up to it's maximum rating. Infographic for those who don't understand the difference in tow rating and tongue weight. The thread linked gives more context

Have seen a lot of people correcting that the tailgate won't stop bullets but... actually it can. Tailgate is 1.4mm thick HFS, which is the same as the sail panel. In our demo video the sail does stop the tommygun bullets. The doors have more stopping power at 1.8mm thick

Ok hear me out - the sun keeps sending it's unwanted radiation to America. This is unacceptable, we need to put a tariff on those solar rays. Let's build a wall that will absorb that unwanted light and turn it into electricity. But we need to make the wall horizontal and put one
