Genuinely, what are they doing? Standing around, full military gear, on their phones, faces covered like terrorists, and then they decide they're going to... beat up some random guy because he's in their space? How is this any different than a street gang?

This is a constitutional crisis. The richest man on earth has illegally obtained physical access to the US government payment systems and is now shutting down funding to any recipient he personally dislikes. This is money authorized by Congress, he is usurping the Constitution.
