- Video from partners in Coney Island driving down Neptune Ave, passing P.S. 188 and Surfside Garden Houses. We are working on a resilience study w/ Coney Island Beautification Project along the creek. Hard to imagine flash flooding won’t be a priority for the community.We are in touch with city agencies about several intersections that have been inundated with storm water. Most NYC sewers are 100+ years old, made of brick, designed only to handle ~1.5 inches of rain per hour – anything more than that, and we got problems. Leaves & debris
