- avatar is the natural continuation of his entire filmography. the evidence is everywhere. terminator, the abyss, titanic it’s all in thereRevisiting ALIENS and I’ve never noticed before how AVATAR coded the film is, from the Colonial Marine characters to the design of the weapons and of course the power loader looking like a precursor to the AMP suits. Pretty neat!

- almost not worth talking about at this point, but it’s so easy to forget that these films are *made* for 3D The composition, having layered foliage at the edges of the screen tickling your peripheral vision etc What you see on a phone screen is so much less than the real thing
