lmao. men are struggling with this tweet You’ve never seen a snake and thought, ‘not all snakes,’ and then stayed in the same space with it. Yet, you expect women to make exceptions when they’ve never lived a trauma-free life because of men.

'Not all men' but immediately you see a snake in your house, you kill it. Meanwhile only 20 percent (~600 species) of snakes are venomous and only 7 percent (~200 species) of snakes are able to kill a human. So why didn't you confirm if it's venomous before killing it?

It’s so fucking hard to take care of yourself - cook, clean, market runs, etc., but you’ve to do it because you’re an adult. It’s unfair to offload all your burdens onto someone else (who’s got their own life as well) simply because you married them.

This is the third tweet I’m seeing today from Muslim men complaining about not being married during Ramadan and it’s not because of companionship but because of home duties. Sigh! Grown men o. How did you even make it to this point?

The first time Tayo took me around Munich, I had tears in my eyes. And that was because I saw people going for a swim, sitting by the lake, playing with their kids, etc., after work around 5pm. How Nigeria is designed denies you a full life.

This country’s biggest crime is that it steals your youth from you. You don’t even realize how old you are as a 26/27 year old until you travel and realize that your agemates in proper countries started families 3 or 4 years ago. But you’re there at that age to start school.

Man’s lost his mom and is asking for a small wedding but some of you are here screaming “he doesn't want to marry her” with so much selfishness and ignorance.

“women do not ‘carry’ babies. they build every single cell of the baby’s body. they’re not passive vessels, unaffected & unencumbered by pregnancy. it invades every part of a woman’s body & life, often for years after.” this is what nigerian men trivialize.

There's been a lot of discourse on this app the last few days about postpartum bodies, and I just want to remind you that more often than not, pregnancy will irrevocably change one's body, for better or for worse, regardless of what you do.

It’s not because of work. You just don’t want to participate in the emotional, physical, and mental labour of being a present parent. This is just a faux concern to maintain status quo.

It was traditionally accepted that men generally spent too much time at work and undervalued their families. This often left them poorly fulfilled later in life. Somehow this damaging formula of the primacy of work is being sold to women as the ideal route to fulfillment. LOL!

Someone once said “men do not fantasise about treating women well.” Even when they do, it’s probably because they’re attracted to them. So how dare you treat a woman well if you’re not a fool.

One issue I had with my man before was his obsessive need to be everyone's hero. One time he drove to take a "female friend" to the hospital because she had period cramps. We argued about it. So I went out and told him I had gone to help my male friend with how blue balls.

So you understand why humans run when they see snakes but you can’t comprehend why women default to all men based off of their experiences with men?

You don’t fully grasp what Nigeria has taken from you until you step out of it and see people having a full life. Nigeria has taken so much and will continue to take until there’s a redesign.

you should not be involved with anyone who needs the fear of God to be a decent human being, even as friends. have we as a generation not learned anything from the generations before us?

If the person you’re romantically involved with doesn’t fear God, That person isn’t going to fear lying to you, Manipulating you, Cheating on you and abusing you because without the fear of God, There’s no higher authority holding them accountable. Selah.
