- First things first, the annual pre-season predictions pod is upon us. Last season I predicted Arsenal would win the league with 85 points and my off the wall prediction was that we wouldn't get any red cards. Tough act to follow...
- Last season Spurs and Chelsea didn't qualify for Europe, Brighton, Bournemouth and Sunderland did. The reigning champions finished 5th. Manchester United only played 40 games and weren't in Europe. The PL champion hadn't won the league for 22 years.A new form of financial governance is needed. Having given it some thought, surely a wage cap is the way forward? Perhaps an anchor for transfer spending (net spend) every season that no clubs can exceed by a set amount? The current UEFA and PL model has pulled up the drawbridge
- Aston Villa did not have to sell Esri Konsa for SCR reasons. He wanted to join Arsenal. I feel like this very important distinction is being missed / ignored.
