    This is some major gaslighting. The Taliban planned to begin its winning offensive for May 1, the withdrawal date enshrined in Trump’s deal. The Taliban didn’t comply with the counterterrorism provisions or hold real talks with the Afghan government.

    5. Now we know that Kenneth Chesebro himself was with Jones on Jan. 6. This underscores a key point: There is no firm dividing line between those orchestrating the political conspiracy to overturn the election and the extremists who led the attack on the Capitol.

    False. The AQ-allied Haqqani Network is an integral part of the Taliban. Sirajuddin Haqqani has been deputy emir of the Taliban since 2015. The Haqqanis’ special forces are some of the Taliban’s most effective fighters. This is not disputable.

    In the end, Afghan forces crumbled. But remember: tens of thousands of Afghans died fighting for their country, and on America’s side, since 2014. Their leaders in Kabul failed. The American political and military “elite” failed. But tens of thousands of Afghans died fighting.

    Trump went so far as to portray the Taliban as America’s counterterrorism partner, saying they “will be killing terrorists” & “will keep that fight going.” The May 1 withdrawal date was his doing, as he and @mikepompeo pretended the Taliban would take care of terrorists for us.

    The catastrophe is 100% on @JoeBiden. It would not have happened if Trump had been re-elected. The 2500 US/5000 NATO troops and American fighters/bombers would not have allowed it. Many disagreed w/Trump’s plan but it wasn’t a bug out. It’s been seven months. Next up: JCPOA 2.0

    ,@POTUS just claimed that al Qaeda is "gone" from Afghanistan. Not true. In fact, the Haqqani Network, which is closely allied with al Qaeda, is playing a big role in Kabul right now. The Haqqanis are intertwined with al Qaeda.

    9. One final point (for now): It is no accident that Jones and InfoWars were crucial to Trump's conspiracy-laden attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Trump openly embraced Jones in a December 2015 interview, welcoming Jones and his InfoWars crowd into Trump's base.

    Watching the Taliban capture a significant amount of U.S. military equipment and arms, including helicopters, you get the impression that America just armed the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan 2.0.
