When I was 12 or 13 I was really smug about having a better understanding of grammar than my peers. I was always correcting people on “who” and “whom” or “your” and “you’re”. One time a friend responded “well I know two languages and you know only one” and I never did it again
is there a word for this? like, the wave of really out of touch pop culture depictions of gamers from the 90s-10s usually made by people who didn't play video games.
