The Government’s new call for evidence on Carer’s Allowance is an important opportunity to push for much-needed reform of this outdated benefit. Carers UK brought carers together with @stephenctimms to share the changes they want to see.

Yesterday I met Andrew Edwards, Managing Director, Go-Ahead London at their depot in North Woolwich. 474, 376, 300, N15 run from here. The depot supports 530 drivers and 160 buses - half electric, and number rising fast. Route 300 will switch to electric buses by end of the year.

The situation in Gaza is desperate. Today the UK is announcing £23m for @UNRWA to deliver vital support including food, water, education and medical support for Palestinian refugees. There must be more aid, all crossings opened, and humanitarian agencies able to operate safely.

On Tuesday, we hosted our Access to Work drop-in event in Parliament to discuss the findings of our latest report, ‘Access to Work: Employment that Works’, funded by Trust for London. Thank you to all the MPs, DPOs and partners who joined us.
