This morning, I called on @SylviaJonesMPP to explain why the gov believes it is fiscally responsible to spend ~3x more to hire nurses thru agencies - giving those agencies a healthy profit - instead of repealing Bill 124 & directing that $ straight to healthcare workers. #onpoli

This year, I've been in elementary schools without A/C where classrooms were so hot that kids were sweating in their seats. This would be completely unacceptable in an adult workplace. Why is it okay for our children? #onpoli

I asked the FAO to investigate the ServiceOntario/Staples deal. The result? Another bad deal that Ford didn't want us to know about. They closed 9 small businesses & gave a lucrative deal to a US company—all while the Premier tries to tell people Ontario is not for sale. #onpoli

All across Ont, hospital funding to priv nursing agencies has increased significantly, giving profits to agencies instead of higher wages in the hands of nurses. The responsible thing to do, fiscally & morally, is to repeal #Bill124 & give that $ straight to healthcare workers.

Doug Ford didn’t care about protecting Ontario companies & jobs when he gave sole-sourced deals to U.S. companies just a few short months ago. He called an early election not to protect Ontario but to try to protect HIS job. He’s not the guy to protect us now. #ONpoli
