There's Craig James on right, drink cup raised. - BREAKING: West Virginia district court GRANTS temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to #WVU football players Jimmori Robinson, Jeffrey Weimer, Tye Edwards, and Justin Harrington, allowing them to play for the Mountaineers in 2025.
- BREAKING: Sixth Circuit affirms dismissal of NCAA referee John Higgins's claims against Ky. Sports Radio for allegedly disseminating a video with contact information for Higgins's roofing business, leading to negative reviews and death threats. Claim was dismissed on 1A grounds.
- BREAKING: Judge Wilken will NOT approve the House settlement as currently written, finding that issues regarding "immediate implementation" of the roster limits preclude final approval.
- We have a new antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA... This one, filed by lead plaintiff and UNC tennis player Reese Brantmeier (on behalf of a proposed wider class), challenges the NCAA's prohibition on college athletes playing in outside competitions with prize money.
- Replying to @samcehrlichWow, Pavia's attorney is saying that unless the rules are not found to be subject to antitrust they're going to stack on a challenge to the redshirt rule and asking for an injunction so Pavia can play in 2026. Had a feeling that would be the case given some of the briefing.
