restaurants figured this out forever ago. instead of framing it as a loss during peak hours you frame it as a gain during off-peak hours and you call it "Happy Hour" or something like that. Complete unforced PR failure to market this to franchisees as "dynamic pricing."

restaurant in a grocery store that closes 6-7pm, open 6 days a week, only serves chicken and fries (even tho name is beef related), across the street from a raising canes, burger king and wendys, bougie concept in poor neighborhood. have to actively be trying this hard to fail.
