Imagine my neighbours have no income, and their child can only eat because I deliver them food each day. If I decide to stop one day and the child starves to death... Then yes I have killed them. Same as a doctor withdrawing care. It is possible to kill by omission.

i don’t accept the argument that if you cut foreign aid—even valuable, well targeted foreign aid (which some of usaid was)—you’re responsible for killing people. this should be obvious. so it will probably be controversial.
