Let’s cut to the chase. If this was a working class benefit fraudster we would be happy to see them in prison. But because it is a middle-class fraud everyone is looking for rationalisations and excuses. If he was tried and convicted as a con man, he would deserve to be in prison

Once again, this story was never about Jason Arday. It is about the terrible corruption of institutions that was required for someone like Arday to rise to the most prestigious position in his field, and to stay there for years despite the enormous red flags, the abysmal quality
