One of the opening acts of Trump's war of choice was the massacre of schoolkids in Iran. Those kids would be alive today if Congress had done our job and restrained the president's lust for power. Sadly, House Republicans again blocked a bill to end the war. A contemptible

Trump turned this Reflecting Pool into a personal obsession, spent millions of taxpayer dollars to deliver a mess, and is now literally putting a fence around his own failure. It's hard to think of a better symbol of this administration's incompetence.

So to be clear, Trump charged American taxpayers $14 million for a corrupt contract and a botched paint job. And instead of taking responsibility, he’s arresting people. This is what he’s focused on, not high gas and grocery prices.

Trump spent weeks on end talking about the reflecting pool while Americans are struggling to afford groceries and gas. Now, he’s upset his failed, corrupt “renovation” is getting attention. Make it make sense.

CNN put together a supercut of Trump gassing up the reflecting pool in recent weeks, before it turned into a catastrophe 😆

Another example of colossal waste: $14.7M, no-bid, to a contractor with zero federal experience — to repaint the reflecting pool. Two weeks later, the paint's already peeling and the algae's back. Taxpayers are paying full price for an unnecessary part-time fix.

My first job out of college was as a Park Ranger at the Lincoln Memorial. The Reflecting Pool fiasco is infuriating. While Americans struggle with higher costs amid war in Iran, Trump is fixated on a vanity project that enriched his friends on the American taxpayers’ dime.

The project was originally estimated to cost $1.5 million. Instead, costs ballooned to more than $16 million because Trump awarded no-bid contracts to his buddies and donors at inflated rates. nytimes.com/2026/05/27/us/… nytimes.com/2026/06/18/us/… 3/

American taxpayers are left with a Reflecting Pool covered in peeling paint and algae blooms, while Trump allies have pocketed millions. And now the President is having a public meltdown because he can't handle the consequences of his failures. Just infuriating. 4/4

It's not just Trump who has made a fortune off the Presidency. After Trump was reelected, Jared Kushner became a billionaire. His estimated net worth is up roughly 1,440% since 2009—compared with ~160% for the average U.S. household.

The President’s son-in-law is helping shape U.S. Middle East policy amid a war in Iran while simultaneously raising billions from Middle Eastern governments for his private equity firm. This is a massive corruption scandal that deserves far more attention than it’s getting.

Donald Trump’s DOJ is unwilling to permanently drop its pursuit of a nearly $2 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund – and that’s exactly why Congress must outlaw it.

The Trump Justice Department just killed an investigation looking into convicted fraudster David Gentile’s reported $2.5M in payments to secure clemency from President Trump. This is the administration that "won't turn a blind eye to fraud."

Children weren’t the target of federal food program changes, but they’re increasingly “collateral damage,” one expert said. The drop in the number of children receiving SNAP benefits is a “public health crisis” in the making, said another expert.
