Speaker and SALT Republicans’ meeting has been pushed to **10pm** They are expected to get a new SALT offer from leadership - who has been meeting w/ hardliners throughout today- It's likely to get overshadowed with all the shutdown news, but the Senate just voted 76-20 to expand Social Security benefits for about 3 million retirees who worked for state or local governments. The House passed the bill last month, and it now heads to the president's desk.
