Dear @thetimes please stop referring to the penalty charged on Mr Zahawi as a penalty for tax avoidance. It isn’t. It can’t be. There is no tax penalty for tax avoidance if it is successful because it is not illegal. The penalty was for submitting an incorrect tax return. 1/2
