    the 2024 season has ended. from s1 to ewc to s2, we still haven't won an international match, but i think we were able to show abit of our potential to the world. overcoming the limits of our environment in sea is still difficult, but i believe it will only get better #GOBLEED 🩸

    Today, Patiphan was won a championship in the OWL, the first one in OW2 at that. The first player in Southeast Asia to achieve such success. And while it is historic moment for SEA Overwatch, it feels bittersweet. (cont.)

    VARREL's journey started in 2021 when played in AU Contenders on 200 ping with no local OW support. Their efforts made JP an independent region in 2024. The same core of players who have inspired their region for 4 years have finally won their first international match. #VLWIN

    When we lost, I wasn’t too sad, we were never meant to win. But the truth sank in: Japan will continue rising with resources, and Pacific will fade away as players leave one by one. This wasn’t just any finals loss, the scales have shifted and it might've been our final sunset.

    In 2018, a fresh-faced 14 year old like Patiphan could break into the scene with a structured league like Pacific Contenders, get oppurtunities to develop and get scouted to the big leagues. Fast forward 4 years later, no such thing exists anymore. The region remains abandoned.

    Our region has always had the talent, we have showcased that time and time again. Today, Patiphan further established that. But the sad reality of the truth is that, without any support, there will be no new talent and we might have just seen the last generation of SEA. (end.)
