This was the idiot at the Hindu Sabha last night trying to direct violence against those of Sikh faith. He has a long history of hate and attempting to incite violence. He isn’t from Brampton. He came to the City last night to encourage violence. Agitators trying to incite
Hindutwa extremist Ron Banerjee, self proclaimed Executive Director of Hindu Conference of Canada openly demanded killing of Muslims and Sikhs in India, saying “they deserve to die”.
Attacks on Sikhs, genocide calls, labeling them terrorists, it all originates from this hatred.
Canada ranks near the bottom of OECD countries when it comes to hospital beds per capita. For context, we had 90% of hospitals beds in use in Canada before the pandemic even started. Why are we not having a national conversation on the inadequacies of our healthcare capacity?
I was out for a walk with Theo & he was pretty upset that playgrounds are closed. His dad agrees.
I will be consulting City Council & our solicitor on whether we can legally decline a provincial order.
The medical advice has been clear that outdoor recreation should stay open.
Outdoor sports should be allowed. I realize I am a broken record on this topic but it is worth repeating the science table never recommended closing outdoor amenities.
I have not heard single doctor ask for outdoor amenities to be closed.

GG & I are overjoyed to welcome into the world our baby daughter Savannah Francesca Brown.
She was born at 6:08 pm tonight at #Brampton Civic. She is a healthy 7.93 pounds. Theodore now has a beautiful baby sister. GG is recovering well & is already bonding with her daughter.
Don’t close elementary schools.
Vaccinate educators.
Close Amazon.
Close Food Processing Plants.
Close Busy Big Box Stores.
Close Crowded Factories.
And if our supply chain can’t handle it then vaccinate essential workers.

We lost two more great small businesses over the last week. Lockdowns have real consequences.
Hospitalizations at #Brampton Civic are down dramatically this week from 110 to 70 #COVID19 patients.
The reopening schedule is too slow. It’s time reopen fully our small businesses.
If schools are being closed because they are a #COVID19 risk then why are we not vaccinating educators during this multi week closure. Currently, they are slated for June. This makes no sense. Vaccinate educators NOW so that we can reopen schools. @ETFOPeel@OSSTFD19@dpsuoecta
Busy crowded factories are a #COVID19 challenge. An airport with loose restrictions is a problem.
But golf, tennis, cricket, basketball, baseball, soccer and other outdoor sports are NOT the problem.
Safe outdoor sports are good for physical health and mental health!
