I used to believe this too, that a third space would suit trans-ID men. I was wrong. I realise now that all these men ever want to do is inflict themselves upon women in what should be women-only spaces.
To rape women, Barbie Khardashian told the court this morning, he “wanted to use an electric rod to do this but as it was not available to me, I could use the handle of a sweeping brush or a mop”. This afternoon he was found not guilty.
Am in my local, the Two Sisters in Terenure Dublin this evening, when I overhear people sitting at the bar saying “I agree with Graham Linehan”. I speak to them and find that @Glinner is hugely respected by decent Irish people. Fuck the Irish media. Graham Linehan for president.
Jennifer O'Connell in Irish Times today: "Many of the concerns (@Glinner ) raises- puberty blockers... surgery for trans young people; women’s sports.. risk of sex offenders in women’s prisons – are shared by reasonable people". Really? Where have you been all these years?
This is very hard to watch. It brings me back to the racist abuse I suffered when I was that kid’s age. The Traveller community in Tuam should break their omerta and shop these guys.

"He dresses like a woman; he punches like a man." On new paddyspodcast.ie Series 3 Ep 1 outside a welfare office in Dublin for homeless people, I meet women forced to share hostels with trans-ID men. Women who were in Limerick Prison with rapists speak on S2 Eps 1&4.
When I started to read this I genuinely thought at first that the attacker was a woman. The media needs to remember that its first responsibility is to the public.

This is the same @MaryButlerTD who had a Private Members Bill in 2018 aiming to make it illegal to give a tattoo to a person under 18. Such people are too young, she argued, to consent to body-altering procedures (even if only skin-deep). I think she was right about that.
