I just returned from a one week trip to Nigeria travelling by road doing Lagos - Sagamu - Abeokuta - Ibadan - Sagamu - Lagos - Ibadan - Osogbo - Erin Osun - Ibadan - Sagamu - Lagos, and I need to get this off my chest.
A slightly long thread.
I’ve lived in the UK for almost 5 years and I’ve never seen a convoy before.
Not even a police convoy.
In Nigeria, the First Lady, an office that should not exist, moved around in a 100 vehicle convoy.
An underdeveloped country.
I admire your gut.
Talking about hunger and poverty to world leaders when your policy back home is built around making people poor and killing them with hunger.
Such audacity.
My address to world leaders during the first session: ‘Fight against Hunger and Poverty’ at the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio.

NURTW used to have educated folks as their National Chairmen. The former chairman, Alhaji Najeem Yasin has a PhD. The current chairman can’t construct one complete sentence.
Running every sector of the country through the mud just for the ambition of one man. Also an illiterate.
Wife failed Masters. They couldn’t get Graduate Route Visa because of that. They’ve gone back to Nigeria.
Husband said wife is a dullard and he should have married his intelligent ex. Wife claims he impregnated her the moment they relocated and she couldn’t cope with studies.
I have a problem with summer coaching for kids. It's a holiday. If children will learn anything at all during this period, it should be non school related. Private school owners want to cash out so bad that they introduced holiday coaching.
Its nonsense.
The first thing you will realise once you step out of Nigeria is that our leaders are extremely useless, corrupt, greedy and selfish.
And that the attempt to shut people up when they complain about Nigeria is senseless gaslighting.
I intentionally left the cost of things out of this thread because that’s an entirely different conversation.
But let me pose this question, why are you people okay with paying abroad prices on Nigerian salary?
Everybody in that place can’t be serious.

The cultist that came to disrupt our final year award night with his gang and robbed students at Eskay Hotel Sagamu in 2009 is now aligned with political elites in this country and is boldly walking the country. He’s hailed by musicians and a friend of the people in government.
