We are delighted to say that GWR trains are now operating in electric mode to Bristol Parkway. Thank you to all our passengers and lineside neighbours for your support and patience whilst we delivered the biggest modernisation of Brunel’s railway since it was built.

⚠️138 trains a day travel at 100mph on this track in Gloucestershire. ⏱️In just over two seconds a 100mph train will cover the length of a football field. ℹ️ Your life is not worth risking for a photo. This is now in the hands of the @BTP.

🚉For 145 years signal boxes at Par, Lostwithiel and Truro have helped run the railway in Cornwall. 👋We now say a very fond farewell to them as a new digital system is almost ready. 📸Par, built in 1880, and Lostwithiel, 1893, are grade II listed. Truro was added in 1899.

❄️Heavy snow means that no trains are able to run to Barnstaple until noon, or Okehampton until 4pm 🌳Our teams are working hard to clear fallen trees which came down with the snowfall - 70 have already been removed 🚌Ticket acceptance is available on Stagecoach buses

🚶‍♀️For the first time in over 50 years, you can now use a bridge to cross the railway at Lostwithiel in Cornwall 🚧It means you don't have to wait at a busy level crossing where barriers are down for 22 mins an hour 🏗️We're now working to build a permanent bridge at the station
