- Unhappy choice of phrase in MOD comms re: Defence Investment Plan on this morning’s ‘Today’ programme: “In place of the new Type 83 destroyers that it was expecting to get, the Royal Navy will receive a raft of surveillance, reconnaissance and attack drones.”
- Early 2000s, I asked an unknown Bristol graffiti artist to paint me a canvas stage backdrop. He kindly did it for free, but when I fussily demanded a third bell on the clown hat, he charged £300. When I sold it next decade, however, I believe I may have recouped the £300.
