- Major in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering instead and teach yourself CS on the side, This should be the default path for anyone who wants to get into techyou needed to be VERY weird to major in computer science 15 years ago now it’s the default path for smart ambitious people like finance or consulting used to be. probably healthier but something definitely lost in that transition
