Racing communications for @NASCAR. #Fordham grad. Probably too big a fan of boxing, the Giants, Yankees and The Simpsons.

And with that checkered flag, the NASCAR Cup Series is back on its original schedule after missing 8 weeks because of the pandemic. What an incredible job by the entire #NASCAR industry.

Kudos to Martin Truex Jr. NBC has shown him do every interview during a less than fun time. Always find it classy when athletes speak to the fans in defeat.

Class move by @JamieLittleTV. True pro would rather a great moment than the spotlight.

.@dennyhamlin was a leader before during and, now, after. Stayed on a teleconference with media for 30 minutes after his win. And is ready to do more.

"It pisses me the hell off and it pisses everybody else in the sport off who care, not only for Bubba, but for every single person he is standing up for." @MartySmithESPN delivers a passionate message after a noose was found in Bubba Wallace's garage stall.

This gained some steam, so... Can at least confirm that this isn't happening for any #NASCAR-owned tracks.

Hearing a popular intermediate track that consistently puts on good racing (and finishes) is getting the Atlanta treatment soon

Safety team was communicating with Buescher throughout. Once confirmed that he was in good health, they were deliberate in the flip to ensure no further issues. After MANY practice runs, this was the first time flipping the new car. It took around 5 minutes.

Not true. The Official saw the spotters of the 1 & 12 getting heated during the battle for the lead. He spoke with both spotters to deescalate any unnecessary confrontations. "Calm down." At no point did he tell the 1 spotter to tell Chastain to move over / not race hard.

[DBC] After @Blaney ran into the back of @RossChastain during their battle for the win on Sunday, a NASCAR official started fussing at Chastain's spotter for him racing Blaney. (via u/RestlessInferno) reddit.com/comments/17q5p… #NASCAR

For those wondering: @KyleLarson had 197 passes tonight. Not surprisingly, that was a race-high.

Good ?/comment here from @dennyhamlin. He's not alone. The quality of the photo has many factors: sunlight (which is why the Derby photo was clearer), humidity (it rained earlier), distance from S/F line (the cam is on the cold side of PR). Here are two examples during daylight.

For clarity's sake, when it comes to ovals, these cars do not have wipers or flaps. NASCAR has been consistent on not racing on ovals if there's rain and/or the track could have spray for safety purposes.
